Why should I purchase a Need to Bead Franchise?
Need To Bead was started 4 years ago in a city of 180,000 people with 5 beads stores doing
business. Through hard work, providing good customer service and having a clean pleasant
beading atmosphere we have built up a reputation as one of the top bead stores in the Northwest
and have reduced the number of bead stores in our city to 3 bead stores. We have worked hard to
get a setup model that works well and will provide suppliers that will make you different from other
bead stores. We will require that you use the company logo on your marquee and business cards
but not require that you look like the other Need to Bead stores on the inside since you have your
own personality and taste. Individuality is important, but buying power is king in retail bead stores.

What's my initial investment?
The total investment to begin operation of a Need to Bead retail location ranges from $60,000.00 to
$250,000 (excluding rent for your location), depending on the region you build in and the size of your
store. This will cover your startup costs, fixtures and merchandise for sale in the store.

What do I need to qualify financially?
To buy a Need to Bead franchise, you need a 670 credit score and a net worth of $100,000. As part
of your net worth, you need $60,000 in liquid assets like cash or stocks which you can use to invest
in your franchise opportunity. Net worth is defined as your total assets; so that's cash, stocks,
homes, cars, recreational vehicles, businesses, and so on, less your total debt.

Do you help me secure financing?
No, we do not.

What's your franchise fee?
The fee for your first franchise is $5,000. You get a price break when you become a multi-unit owner.

When do I need to pay the franchise fee and make other deposits?
We will help you locate a suitable location, have the lease reviewed and get your project rolling. We
have suppliers for new and used displays as well as knowledge for built in displays. Once your site
and lease are approved, we ask for a $2,500.00 deposit. This money pays for costs incurred for
setup of your location. You pay the remainder of your $5,000 franchise fee when you have your
occupancy permit and are ready to do business as a part of the Need to Bead family under the Need
to Bead name.

How much do I pay in royalties?
Your royalties are 3% of gross sales.

How often do I pay royalties?
Franchise Owners pay royalties bi-weekly (every two weeks).

What percentage do I pay for advertising?
You pay nothing for advertising at this time. The Internet and word of mouth have been our best
means of advertising. You can, if you would like, advertise with any means you feel might work best
for your location.
